    The Black Keys have confirmed five UK tour dates in February and March 2015 as part of their Turn Blue World Tour. The UK leg comprises concerts in Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, London, and Leeds. The European tour also includes previously announced dates in Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Poland, Holland, Belgium, and France. Tickets for the UK go on sale July 18. The band, currently touring Europe, tours North America this autumn.

    Pat Metheny Unity Group, fresh off a months-long European spring tour, kicks off a US summer tour featuring music from its debut album, Kin (←→). The tour begins at the Mondavi Center in Davis, CA, Tuesday, followed by stops throughout the state and region before heading to the Midwest and East Coast. The band is joined for most of the dates by special guest Bruce Hornsby with Sonny Emory for the Campfire Tour 2014. The Unity Group heads to Asia this fall.

    Nickel Creek—Chris Thile, Sara Watkins, and Sean Watkins—kicks off its two-month, US summer tour at the Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Wednesday, followed by additional stops in the state this week and at the Taste of Chicago on Friday, when the group shares a bill with Emmylou Harris. The tour features songs from Nickel Creek's new album, A Dotted Line, and favorites from throughout the band's career. The Associated Press says: "All the years collaborating with other musicians or performing on their own helped to create a stronger, more focused sound."

    Natalie Merchant begins a three-week US tour in support of her new, self-titled album at the Ulster Performing Arts Center in Kingston, NY, this Thursday, followed by stops along the East Coast and in the Midwest. "The collective feel of the music on the album still leaves room for Merchant’s trademark intimacy and honesty: no small feat," writes Hudson Valley Almanac Weekly in advance of Thursday's show. "Expect similar wire-walking brilliance when Merchant takes the show on the road." Merchant kicks off the tour as a guest on public radio's The Diane Rehm Show Wednesday and CBC's Q with Jian Ghomeshi Thursday.

    Robert Plant and his band the Sensational Space Shifters gave the Glastonbury Festival crowd "one of the most musically diverse sets of the day," says the BBC, including songs from his new album, lullaby and... The Ceaseless Roar. They "concoct a fascinating hybrid of dub, jazz, afrobeat and blues well suited to such an eclectic festival," says the Telegraph, "and an appreciative audience swayed in the setting sun to blissful world groove ... Plant's still got the vocal chops and stadium charisma." The Guardian calls him "hero." Metro says "Plant still very much has the voice and all of the cool."     The Black Keys, who are currently touring Europe on the first leg of the Turn Blue world tour, have added several new dates to the tour in February 2015, in Zurich, Munich, Berlin, Amsterdam, Antwerp, and Düsseldorf. The Guardian gives four stars to the band's set at Glastonbury last night, saying "the Black Keys have got better as they've got bigger, revealing a talent for fiendishly catchy classic rock." Watch their Glastonbury performance of "Fever" here.

    Brad Mehldau and drummer Mark Guiliana take their electric duo, Mehliana, on a three-week tour of Canada and Europe starting with a set at the Toronto Jazz Festival this Saturday and at the Montreal International Jazz Festival on Wednesday. Mehliana—Mehldau on Fender Rhodes and vintage synthesizers and Guiliana on drums and effects—then launches a fortnight of shows in Europe on July 5, with dates in France, Italy, Turkey, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Switzerland.

    The Black Keys kick off their Turn Blue world tour with a month of European summer festival dates, starting with two shows in Germany this weekend, follwed by stops in Croatia, Switzerland, Holland, Poland, France, Belgium, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and the UK, including a set at the Glastonbury Festival. An extensive North American tour begins this fall. The Black Keys performed two songs off of Turn Blue for the French TV show Le Grand Journal: "Fever" and "Bullet in the Brain."
