    Wanda Jackson celebrated yesterday's release of her new Jack White-produced album, The Party Ain't Over, with a performance of the song "Funnel of Love" on Conan last night with White and The Third Man House Band. As the Conan site puts it, "Jackson kicked so much butt last night!" Jackson and White also spoke with Conan about the new album, and Jackson had some kind words for Elvis Presley. Watch the performance and interview clip here. Jackson is the subject of an AP article that recognizes the importance of the "diminutive dynamo's knives-out vocal delivery" in rock 'n' roll history.

    Wanda Jackson's new album, The Party Ain't Over, produced by Jack White, is out today. Jackson and White will perform a song from the new record on Conan tonight. They were featured on NPR's Morning Edition today. The Los Angeles Times says Jackson "shows that a 73-year-old grandmother is still fully capable of ripping things up—especially when you throw in with someone as party-ready as producer Jack White." The Toronto Star calls it "a fun, eclectic and admirably raucous record."

    There's just one more day till the release of Wanda Jackson's new album, The Party Ain't Over, produced by Jack White; they'll celebrate as musical guests on Conan on Tuesday. Jackson is featured in the New York Times, which traces her influence on generations of performers. The Boston Globe cites "delicious and unexpected delights on her new album." The Washington Post calls it "wild fun." Vanity Fair calls it "inspired ... unmistakably and perfectly 'Wanda.'” The Detroit Free Press sees it as "a fun, feel-good achievement." The Independent names it CD of the Week, one that "cannot help but put a smile on your face." The Times of London calls it "extraordinary."

    The Black Keys made their debut on PBS's Austin City Limits this past weekend, when the set they recorded last October aired on PBS stations across the US, along with a set from Sonic Youth. The Black Keys' set includes "Next Girl," "Howlin' for You," "Tighten Up," and "She's Long Gone," from their latest Nonesuch release, Brothers; "I Got Mine" from 2008's Attack & Release; as well as earlier songs "Thickfreakness" and "I'll be Your Man."     The Black Keys' set for the long-running PBS performance show Austin City Limits, recorded late last year, will air on PBS stations across the US this Saturday night starting at 9 PM ET/PT. This weekend's episode marks the band's Austin City Limits debut. Also on the show are noise rock pioneers Sonic Youth.     Wanda Jackson rocked out with Jack White and The Third Man House Band on the Late Show with David Letterman, performing "Shakin' All Over," the opening track of her forthcoming album, The Party Ain't Over. "Wasn't that tremendous!" Letterman exclaimed. "That was fantastic." Watch it here.     Wanda Jackson performs a song from her forthcoming album The Party Ain't Over on the Late Show with David Letterman tonight, backed by producer Jack White on guitar and The Third Man House Band. Their upcoming shows in Brooklyn and Los Angeles are sold out, but Nonesuch is giving away tickets to each. The Nashville Scene called their Nashville set "nothing short of amazing ... It was incredible ... All hail the Queen of Rock ’n’ Roll!"

    The Low Anthem were the musical guests on the Late Show with David Letterman last night, performing "Ghost Woman Blues," the opening track off their forthcoming album, Smart Flesh. The band gathered close with Ben Knox Miller on guitar, Jocie Adams on clarinet, Jeff Prystowsky on jaw harp, Mat Davidson on hammer dulcimer, and all four on vocals. Watch it here. The band plays a sold-out show tonight in The Allen Room as a part of Lincoln Center's American Songbook series.

    Congratulations to The Black Keys: their latest album, Brothers, has just been certified Gold! The band stopped by the Nonesuch offices in New York  yesterday to receive their Gold records. While in the city, band mates Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney have kept themselves busy, performing on Saturday Night Live and the Late Show with David Letterman. Last night, they stopped by The Colbert Report as "leading scholars on The Black Keys" to help Stephen fill out his Grammy ballot for Best Alternative Music Album, one of six categories in which the band is nominated.     The Low Anthem are the musical guests on the Late Show with David Letterman tonight on CBS and will play "Ghost Woman Blues," off their forthcoming album, Smart Flesh. The band promises "a simple affair, possibly around a single microphone!" The Low Anthem performed three songs from Smart Flesh live on WNYC's Soundcheck yesterday, which you can hear here. They perform at The Allen Room in New York Thursday as a part of Lincoln Center's American Songbook series.
