Kronos Quartet begins its first UK tour in many years at the Barbican this Monday, May 9. The tour program includes works by Steve Reich, Laurie Anderson, and Terry Riley, a world premiere, and three UK premieres from the Kronos Fifty for the Future commissioning project. Kronos will perform on BBC Two's Later... With Jools Holland live show on Tuesday, May 10, and the one-hour episode on lucky Friday the 13th; the line-up includes Corinne Bailey Rae, Bloc Party, and Sir Elton John.

Lake Street Dive will perform on BBC Two's Later... With Jools Holland live show tonight at 10 PM. Fans in the UK can tune in then to see the band perform from its Nonesuch Records debut album, Side Pony. Then, tune in to BBC Two again this Friday, April 22, at 11:05 PM for the full, one-hour episode of Later for more. The line-up for the show—the first of the new season—also includes Paul Simon, Laura Mvula, Charles Bradley, Kano, and Jason Isbell. Lake Street Dive brings its tour to Frankfurt, Cologne, Paris, Brighton, Paris, Dublin, and Cork.

Laurie Anderson was a guest on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night. She discussed and shared a clip from her new film, Heart of a Dog, and gave a special live performance from her Concert for Dogs before a lucky group of canines. You can watch it here. The film, for which Nonesuch released the soundtrack, is available to download on iTunes and VUDU through March 29 and will receive its broadcast premiere on HBO on April 25.

Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters' taping of the Austin City Limits show will stream live on March 21. Plant returns to the ACL stage for the first time in more than a decade, and fans around the world can tune in to the show’s YouTube Channel to watch the entire performance as it happens live from The Moody Theater in Austin. The taping will be the final performance of Plant and the band's current "Southern Journey" tour of the American South. The broadcast version will air on PBS as part of the series' upcoming Season 42, which launches this fall.

Audra McDonald brings her acclaimed portrayal of Billie Holiday from Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill to HBO starting this Saturday, March 12. Filmed before a live audience at Café Brasil in New Orleans, the special features McDonald in her Tony-winning performance as Billie Holiday, telling the jazz icon’s life story through the songs that made her famous. Returning to Broadway in Shuffle Along, McDonald is the subject of a feature in New York magazine's Best of New York issue titled "Shocking As It Is to Believe, the Theater May Be in a New Golden Age" and subtitled "One reason: Audra McDonald, Broadway's greatest voice, is back."

Lianne La Havas was on PBS's Tavis Smiley show this week, discussing the inspiration behind her album Blood and EP Blood Solo, and performing "Green & Gold." "Blood is relating to my heritage and my family and it was something that I began to think more deeply about over the course of the last couple of years," she says. "And I found that my songwriting was beginning to explore more my family, and actually why I am like I am and where it all comes from." Hear what she has to say and watch the performance here.

Austin City Limits has announced a new round of tapings, including Robert Plant, who returns to the show's stage for the first time in more than a decade on March 21, and Rhiannon Giddens, who makes her ACL debut on April 25. The shows will be broadcast at a later date as part of the PBS series Austin City Limits. Audra McDonald was a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on NBC last night. She spoke with Fallon about her upcoming return to Broadway in Shuffle Along, and more. Lianne La Havas spoke with PBS NewsHour about her Jamaican and Greek roots and the visit to her mother's family in Jamaica that inspired her album Blood . "It was really moving, emotional for lots of reasons, just because my family are from there, but I had never seen it before," she tells NewsHour. Rokia Traoré performed two songs from her new album, Né So, on the French TV show Le Grand Journal last night: "Ilé" and "Obiké." You can watch here. She was also a guest on the French show Le Grand 8 on Monday, performing "Mayé" from the new album. Traoré tours several cities across France starting in Paris on Thursday, February 25, followed by stops in Amsterdam, Brussels, and Geneva. She heads to the US in late March for shows in NYC, DC, and Savannah.
